The New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) is a comprehensive list of all quality assured qualifications in New Zealand. The NZQF is the definitive source for accurate and current information on qualifications.
When viewing a qualification on the NZQF, you will see:
the title, type and level of the qualification
the credit value of the qualification
the subject area of the qualification
the outcome statement (graduate profile, education pathways and employment pathways)
whether the qualification is current, expiring or discontinued
details on the qualification developer or provider.
Qualification types
There are two types of qualification in New Zealand:
National qualifications provide nationally recognised, consistent standards and qualifications. They give recognition and credit for standards-based knowledge and skills.
Provider-developed (local) qualifications are those which have been developed by an education provider.
